COVID-19 Closure details
As all of us South Africans are aware, the State of Emergency that has been implemented by President Cyril Ramaphosa in order to flatten the curve of COVID-19 necessitates a complete lock down on non-essential services.
While we at Listenhear are unwavering in our commitment to our patients, and believe fundamentally that good hearing and communication is essential, the majority of our caseload is made up of infants, children, and adults over the age of 70 – all of whom fall into the high-risk category. Our primary priority as healthcare professionals is to keep them, and you, safe. As individuals and a collective nation, we have to be united in the fight against COVID-19.
As such, Listenhear Audiology and Balance will be closed from Friday 27 March until Monday 20 April 2020. Opening date may be revised as government advises.
We are still available in case of emergencies – including urgent hearing aid repairs (where possible / if manufacturers are still open) and screening for sudden changes in hearing. We will not be accepting new patients or dispensing new hearing aids during this time. Hearing aid adjustments can only be done for those patients whose hearing aids have Telecare features, where no face-to-face contact is required.
Meghan Powell will be available for urgent consultations regarding your hearing aid queries or repair requirements. She can be contacted via our office number 011 758 6550 (forwarded to her mobile phone) and email on firstname.lastname@example.org. She will deal with your queries and concerns on a case-by-case basis.
We will have limited account management facilities available during this time, however for urgent account queries please email email@example.com.Please browse our website and Like our Facebook Page where we will keep you posted with any updates on the above information.
Take special care.
