Our practice was originally established in Flora Life Hospital in 2002, and has been assisting patients along their hearing journeys since then. The practice has seen some ownership changes over the years but the values and traditions of the practice have been passed down to each new owner throughout the years to maintain the standard and care that our patients have come to know and appreciate.
Listenhear Audiology Inc. aims to provide patient-centred care, which means that we recommend, guide and include our patients in an individualised and holistic plan to meet their hearing needs. Our goal is that each patient leaves our practice feeling empowered and confident and satisfied that their hearing needs have been met at the highest standard.
What you can expect from your appointment
You will be greeted by our friendly receptionist and made to feel comfortable while you wait for your Audiologist to collect you. Your Audiologist will welcome you into her office where you will have an opportunity to openly discuss your hearing concerns and expectations in a safe and confidential environment.
Once the Audiologist understands your needs she will explain what test procedures she will need to conduct and the necessary audiological testing will be performed. Once she has obtained your test results you will once again sit down together and your results will be explained to you. At Listenhear Audiology we encourage you to ask questions and to be a part of the decision making process for your hearing care.
Our experienced Audiologists practice the utmost patience, understanding and kindness and encourage your participation in your appointment so that we know that by the end of your appointment we have assisted you in making an informed decision regarding your way forward towards better hearing and communication and enhanced quality of life.

Yajna Debideen
B.Com Pathology (KZN)
Yajna Debideen graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) in 2016 with a Bachelor of Communication Pathology Degree and Honours Degree in Audiology, achieving the Dean’s Commendation Award and numerous merit certificates while completing her studies on a full scholarship. A proud UKZN alumna, she has always combined academic excellence with a passion for making a difference.
Beyond her studies, Yajna captured international attention in the world of beauty and performance, earning 26 beauty pageant titles, including Miss Grand South Africa, and representing our country internationally in Vietnam. Her experience in modelling, acting, and dance gave her confidence, discipline, and a strong public presence—all of which continue to shine through in her daily life.
In 2017 she recieved The Women of Wonder Award for her humanitarian work and excellence. In 2025, Yajna recieved the Top Global Icon Woman of Wonder Award and Publication. The publication is featured in South Africa, Dubai, Qatar, Mauritius and the UK. Yajna was also featured in the Woman Entrepreneur SA BizzBuzz magazine in November 2025.
Yajna’s career began in KwaZulu-Natal, where she gained invaluable experience at nine provincial and private hospitals and 2 private practices, shaping her into a versatile and compassionate audiologist. In 2019, she moved to Gauteng, offering neonatal hearing screenings at Parklane Hospital and joining Listenhear Audiology and Balance at Life Flora Hospital on a locum basis. Her skill and commitment soon led to partnership, business expansion, and eventually, full ownership.
Today, Yajna is the proud sole proprietor of Listenhear Audiology Inc, a full-service diagnostic audiology practice located at Life Flora Hospital. Her practice provides patient-centered care to individuals of all ages, from newborn babies to geriatrics.
