Industrial Hearing Screenings and Diagnostics

Prolonged exposure to high levels of noise in the workplace can lead to noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) — a preventable but permanent condition. At ListenHear Audiology, we offer professional occupational hearing screenings and diagnostic testing to support both employee wellness and workplace compliance.

Baseline and Annual Monitoring

We conduct both baseline hearing tests (before or shortly after employment begins) and annual monitoring assessments for individuals working in noisy environments. These tests are essential for:

  • Tracking any changes in hearing over time

  • Detecting early signs of hearing damage (such as buzzing noise in ear, ringing in the ear or ears humming)

  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

Results are documented and reported in accordance with industry standards to support employer requirements and employee health.

Follow-Up Diagnostic Testing

If a worker fails a routine hearing screening during an occupational health assessment, more detailed diagnostic testing may be required. We provide these in-depth assessments in a soundproof environment to:

  • Determine the type and degree of hearing loss

  • Identify whether the condition is work-related

  • Recommend appropriate intervention or referral

  • Provide the option of custom ear plugs

Our diagnostic services help bridge the gap between routine screening and proper medical follow-up — ensuring workers receive the care they need.
